A fine dining restaurant uses AI to launch online, take reservations, and streamline operations
Sutherland and Jesse of Lacou in Dominica built and launched their website, added their first online reservations, and automated their accounting and inbox.
Sutherland and Jesse co-own Lacou, widely regarded as the best restaurant on the island of Dominica. They came into a joint session as non-technical operators.
They left with a fully live website at lacoudominica.com, built and launched themselves. They even took it a step further by connecting a table-agent widget to their website, all on their own. Now the restaurant can take reservations online, both on mobile and desktop.
The work reached the back office as well. They set up AI to navigate their financials and accounting workbooks, taking real weight off the day-to-day, and built automated organization for their inbox, so email lands in the right categories and they can navigate it with AI instead of digging through it by hand.
Most of all, they left with the workflow to keep going: how to talk to the model, scope what they want, and build the next thing on their own.
We came in with no technical background and left building. We made our own website, a design system so everything we put out looks like Lacou, and we cleaned up the back office. The real takeaway is that we can keep building on our own.
